"When difficulties arise, remember that it is your privilege as the hymn says to stand on “Christ the living Rock.” Don’t ever let your feet be moved from that Rock. If your feet are planted firmly upon the Rock of ages, then you have a hope fraught with immortality, and full of glory." Ms 157, 1904.
When Jesus is our Rock, our Foundation, we stand firm when storm or rain comes into our lives. There are many scriptures in God's Word that remind us of God's love for us. Thus, as we go through difficult circumstances, the Bible reminds us of the hope the Lord gives us.
Perhaps, like David in Psalm 66, you are going through fire and water, through a trial. Then know that God "holdeth our soul in life, and suffereth not our feet to be moved." The Lord will not let you go, so don't let Him go either. In this Psalm you can read how David dealt with difficult circumstances. We may take this as an example. He also encourages us in the last verses. God listened to his prayer. God will also listen to your prayer.
